LOCAL AUTISM SUPPORT and RESOURCE GROUPS

RT Autism Awareness Foundation New Diagnosis Group

RTAAF offers a weekly program, with a curriculum that runs approximately 12 weeks, for parents of newly diagnosed children.   Parents learn about resources in the community, develop a connection with other parents, and hear from guest speakers who have expertise in autism.  The group meets approximately 3-4 evenings per month. Families who participate may receive one free individual behavioral health consultation. 

 

RT Autism Awareness Foundation Parents of Age 10-18 Group

RTAAF offers a support and education group for parents of children on the spectrum who are ages 10-18.  Topics are determined by the participants.  Contact director@rtaaf.org to inquire about concurrent activities for children, provided by Rochester Adaptive Recreation.
